Illuminal

The lights are out and a mysterious glowing ball lights the path forward, can you escape this nightmare?

This is a short proof of concept for a game jam, hosted by our university game development club (UOA GDG). All models, textures, sounds/music - were entirely handmade during the duration of the jam.

This was the first game project for many in the team and it shows the potential of this unique concept. If we manage to find extra time and help, we'd love to add more liminal themed levels such as a house and pool, with puzzles involving the aim and colour mechanics of the ball - and of course, actual horror.

NOTES:
- Playtime: 3-4 minutes.
- Requires a decent graphics card to run at 60fps. :')
- Optimized for 1080p resolution, so will look slightly worse on higher res monitors.
- Best played in a dark room.
- Reach the red door to complete the game!
